FRSC Officer and Daughter Killed in Osun: Friend Confesses He Lured Them for Ritual Killing

Victor Fajemirokun, a friend of the late Federal Road Safety Corps officer Lasisi Funmilayo, has confessed to luring her and her 12-year-old daughter, Sewa, to their deaths at the hands of herbalists in Osun State.

Fajemirokun, 40, was arrested in Ghana and paraded alongside two suspected herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Funmilayo, 39, and her daughter went missing on November 2, after leaving their home at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Their mutilated bodies were later found in a suspected herbalist’s den in Osun, raising fears of ritual killing.

Fajemirokun revealed that he acted on instructions from a Muslim cleric, who allegedly claimed that Funmilayo had used spiritual powers to sabotage his life. He admitted telling his wife he was going for prayers in Ikoyi, Osun, before luring Funmilayo and her daughter under the pretense of spiritual cleansing.

“I met one Gboyega Daramola on TikTok. He told me that Funmilayo was causing my misfortune and asked me to bring her to him,” Fajemirokun told journalists. “At the bush, she and her daughter were killed. I didn’t know their organs would be harvested; I only heard about it later on the news.”

One of the herbalists, Sunday James, confirmed the killings, saying they were carried out on the orders of his boss, Daramola. Daramola, however, claimed Fajemirokun instructed the murders and denied being present at the scene.

Osun Police Commissioner, CP Gotan, confirmed that through intelligence-led investigation, Fajemirokun was arrested in Ghana and repatriated to Nigeria. He assured that all perpetrators would face prosecution, while efforts continue to apprehend others involved.

The gruesome case has drawn national attention, highlighting the dangers of ritual practices and criminal networks exploiting spiritual beliefs.
