2Baba Breaks Silence, Accuses Family of Worsening Marital Tensions
Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba or 2face, has publicly addressed the rising tensions surrounding his marriage to Natasha, claiming that certain family members have exacerbated the situation under the pretext of “saving” him.
The controversy reportedly began in the United Kingdom, where Natasha was allegedly heard raising her voice during an argument with the singer. The confrontation attracted the attention of local authorities and reportedly led to 2Baba’s brief arrest.
The dispute intensified during a recent Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where 2Baba and Natasha exchanged words on camera, alarming viewers with the intensity of their disagreement. Viral clips of the exchange have sparked widespread speculation about deeper issues within the marriage, with fans expressing concern for the emotional well-being of the singer.
Observers also noted a message from 2Baba’s brother, Hyacinth Idibia, which many interpreted as a sign that the family had become actively involved in the unfolding situation.
Breaking his silence, 2Baba insisted that his family’s intervention was causing more harm than good. “This whole thing has gotten dangerously out of hand. I am not just going to be quiet anymore. I am a grown man, and I have the right to be with whoever I want. My family, under the pretext of trying to save me, has actually destroyed me and damaged someone’s daughter’s character. Natasha is receiving death threats right now,” he said in a viral video.
He continued, “Yes, we have had our quarrels, but who doesn’t quarrel with their spouse? I am perfectly okay. I recently performed in Abuja, and many people were there. How can you claim you want to save me but end up worsening the situation? This is unacceptable and unfair. I am not a child. I have always been a quiet, peaceful person, but this has gone too far.”
2Baba’s statement has reignited debate online, with fans divided between urging the family to step back and calling for intervention to ensure the safety and stability of all involved.
