Group Condemns Call For Sack Of Dennis Otuaro As PAP Administrator

A pressure group, the Niger Delta Libration Force (NDLF) has condemned calls for the sack of Chief Dennis Otuaro as the Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP).
Mr Kelly Rufus, the Coordinator, NDLF,
Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Zone, said at a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Tuesday that the calls were ‘baseless and ill-intended’
It would be recalled that a coalition of civil society organisations in the Niger Delta region, recently called for the sack of Otuaro as PAP administrator.
The coalition had stated that PAP had been passive since the appointment of Otuaro as its administrator.
Meanwhile, the NDLF official has described the call as a ‘reckless attempt’ to reduce the reputation of the PAP administrator before the presidency.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to discountenance the call and evolve ways of supporting the administrator to strengthen the amnesty programme.
”The call for the removal of the administrator is being done to discredit him before the president.
”We thank the president for listening to the plight of the Niger Delta people by appointing Otuaro as the administrator of PAP.
”This is the first time someone who understands the background of the struggle would be appointed to manage the amnesty programme.
”Otuaro’s track record in leadership and administration is exemplary, he is a committed and accessible leader, ” he said.(NAN)
