A brand new state of the art educational edifice called Lebarty American Leadership Academy, was lavishly commissioned in Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria, over the weekend.
The commissioning ceremony which was organized by Mr. Okefe Aigbe- Lebarty (proprietor), a United States based Nigerian of Benin extraction, attracted dignitaries within the length and breath of Nigeria and from diaspora.
Speaking at the spectacularly organized event Mr. Okefe Aigbe – Lebarty, who succeeded in articulating the motivated mission and vision of the school, said the Lebarty American Leadership Academy was conceived to specifically add to the growing numbers of affordable and high class educational institutions in Edo state, for the benefit of children desirous of first class education comparable to the American standards.
The ribbon cutting and official commissioning of the school was done by a representative of the Deputy – Governor of Edo State, Mr. Omobayo Godwins, while the occasion was chaired by a renowned educationalist cum administrator Chief Henry Osato Bazuaye (JP), the Aiwerioghene of Benin Kingdom.
The highly electrified ceremony which witnessed the introduction and singing of the school anthem was graced by Dr. Osagie Obayuwana, a former Attorney -General & Commissioner for Justice, Edo State; Dr. Nosa Aigbe – Lebarty; Mr, Eubaldus Enahoro (media consultant); Mr. Afeinkhena Jacob (Master of Ceremony); journalists; Edo State government officials; proprietors of private educational institutions in Edo State; Land Lords/Ladies of Idumwowina Quarters; members of Aigbe – Lebarty family, friends and well wishers.
The Lebarty American Leadership Academy, which is situated in a serene, accessible and conducive environment in Ogiesoba/Iyekekpolor Streets, Idumwowina Quarters, Benin Lagos Road, Ovia Local Government area of Edo State, currently admits pupils into foundational classes.
