Burna Boy Sets New African Record on Billboard Hot 100

Burna Boy has once again stamped his name in global music history, becoming the African artist with the most entries ever on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. His latest collaboration with American rapper Gunna, WGFT from Gunna’s album The Last Wun, debuted at No. 96 this week—pushing Burna’s total Billboard Hot 100 entries to seven.

This milestone also makes Burna Boy the first African artist to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 for five straight years—2021 through 2025. From his feature on Justin Bieber’s Loved By You in 2021, to his smash solo hit Last Last in 2022 (which peaked at No. 44), Burna has consistently proven his global dominance.

Beyond Billboard, Burna Boy also holds the record for the most entries by an African artist on the UK Singles Chart (26) and the Canadian Hot 100 (11). Truly, the African Giant isn’t just carrying the flag—he’s planting it at the very top.
