CELEBRATING EDO AT THIRTY-FOUR
Today, we join millions of our people at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the 34th anniversary of our dear state, Edo—the Heartbeat of the Nation.
Over the past three decades and more, Edo has continued to stand tall, rich in culture, history, and the indomitable spirit of her people. Through trials and triumphs, we have remained united, resilient, and unwavering in our pursuit of progress and development.
Our state has produced men and women of excellence in every field—arts, sports, politics, academia, business, and more—testament to the creativity and strength of Edo people. Despite the challenges we face, our determination to build a state that guarantees opportunities for all remains unbroken.
As we mark 34 years, we must recommit ourselves to the values of unity, justice, and service that define us. The work of building a stronger Edo must continue with renewed vigor—ensuring that our healthcare, education, infrastructure, and economy truly reflect the greatness of our people.
We also extend our warm felicitations to our sister state, Delta, which shares this anniversary with us, as we were both created from the old Bendel State. Our bond remains unshaken, and together, we will continue to advance the aspirations of our people.
On this special day, may we draw inspiration from our past, strength from our struggles, and hope from our future. Edo is destined for greatness, and together, we shall fulfill that promise.
