Tragedy struck in Benin City as the Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Agun Gbenga, suddenly collapsed and passed away while attending a public function.
The incident happened shortly after he delivered a goodwill message at an event organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA). Shock and confusion filled the hall as attendees rushed to help him.
He was immediately taken to the Military Base Hospital in Benin, but sadly, doctors confirmed that he was already dead on arrival.
