Hon. Prof. Julius Ihonvbere Spearheads Key Development Projects Across Owan East/West Federal Constituency

The Owan East/West Federal Constituency is experiencing renewed infrastructural and socio-economic expansion under the leadership of the House Majority Leader, Hon. Prof. Julius Ihonvbere. Over the past week, multiple groundbreaking ceremonies were held across the constituency, signalling the commencement of major community-focused projects.

Among the initiatives is the foundation laying of 36 open stores at Otuo Market, performed by the Ovie of Otuo and represented by High Chief Barr. Miracle Agbi alongside other palace chiefs. The project is expected to stimulate commercial activity and create new economic opportunities for traders and residents.

In Uzebba, Iuleha, Owan West LGA, a groundbreaking ceremony was conducted for the Okumagbe of Iuleha Palace, reinforcing Hon. Ihonvbere’s commitment to preserving the region’s traditional and cultural heritage.

The constituency also recorded a significant educational milestone with the commencement of construction for an Open University campus in Sabongidda Ora. This project is anticipated to expand access to higher education and strengthen the academic capacity of communities within Owan West LGA.

Similarly, the Imodu Health Center in Sabongidda Ora is undergoing major upgrades, including the renovation of its laboratory and staff quarters, as well as the construction of a modern Immunization Hall. These enhancements aim to improve healthcare delivery and strengthen public health infrastructure across the constituency.

Hon. Ihonvbere reiterated that these projects reflect his broad development agenda, focusing on education, healthcare, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment. He emphasized that the constituency’s progress remains a priority and assured residents of sustained efforts toward inclusive growth and improved quality of life.
