I was a victim of kidnapping in the university town of Ekpoma. Precisely, I was kidnapped on September 28, 2024, at the gate of my residence in Ekpoma and was taken into custody by the kidnappers. The detail of the sad story of my kidnap is contained in the letter above. You may wish to ask the police and government what has happened to the 5 persons arrested over my kidnap, even after recovery, my mobile phone from them and they confessing to the crime? The Police is yet to prosecute them and only God knows who is now in possession of my Highlander SUV and other valuables that were taken by the kidnappers – whether with kidnapers or police? I strongly suspect some complicity between the police and these kidnappers, and not until we check this seeming complicity, the incident of kidnapping will not abate, especially in Ekpoma.
