Blord Serves Cease-and-Desist Notice Over “Ratel” Trademark Dispute

Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has taken legal action against social media personality VeryDarkMan, demanding he stop using the name “Ratel.” Blord announced the move on Instagram after successfully trademarking “Ratel” as his official business brand.

In his statement, Blord explained that VeryDarkMan can only use the name with his explicit approval. “I have directed my SAN to issue a cease and desist to VDM to stop using my brand name ‘Ratel’. He will have to get an approval from me henceforth before using that name Ratel,” he wrote. The announcement has sparked widespread discussion and mixed reactions across social media platforms.

The dispute between the two personalities began in October 2025 after VeryDarkMan traveled to China to assist Nigerian business owners in sourcing affordable goods. While there, he accused Blord of business fraud and overpricing modified gadgets, allegedly even petitioning the police to investigate Blord’s business practices. Notably, “Ratel” is also the name used by VeryDarkMan to refer to his loyal online followers, adding another layer to the conflict.

The feud continues to unfold publicly, with fans and followers closely watching each development in the ongoing brand-name clash.
