Christopher Nerreau isn’t sure yet Pope Leo XIV. spoiled his business. There are some things to say in favor of it, others against it – but either way, the 50-year-old American from West Brookfield in Massachusetts takes what Pope Leo has to say very seriously. He wants that to be clear.
Leo XIV, real name Robert Francis Prevost from Chicago, a 14-hour drive away, has been warning about artificial intelligence for weeks. In January he spoke about threats to human relationships, critical thinking and personal development. He warned young people not to do their homework using ChatGPT close. And two weeks ago he told priests in the Roman diocese to please resist the temptation to use AI for their sermons.
