Nidal Mofid Karameh’s Name Surfaces Amid Narcotics Seizure

The name Nidal Mofid Karameh has emerged in connection with a high-profile narcotics seizure on the Greek island of Mykonos, according to multiple sources. Reports indicate that a luxury yacht named Hallo, allegedly linked to Karameh, was raided by Greek police during an anti-drug operation, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of suspected illegal substances.

While Karameh, a Lebanese-Nigerian businessman, is well-known as the founder of Mikano International Limited—a conglomerate with interests in power generation, steel fabrication, and real estate—Greek authorities have not officially confirmed his involvement in the raid. He is also reportedly the owner of the newly launched Orca Mall in Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island.

Sources, including Global Fraud Watch, suggest the raid forms part of a wider crackdown on drug trafficking networks in Mykonos, a popular tourist destination. Recent operations have reportedly targeted both local and international suspects, including law enforcement personnel accused of facilitating the distribution of substances such as cocaine, MDMA, and ketamine.

“This incident is part of a series of intensified police operations targeting drug trafficking rings in Mykonos, which have recently included arrests of local police officers and foreign nationals involved in distributing illegal substances,” a source told SaharaReporters.

Orca Mall, completed in late 2025, is a state-of-the-art retail development in Eko Atlantic’s prime district. Built by ITB Nigeria, the project spans approximately 30,000 square metres of gross leasable space and joins a portfolio of major developments including Heritage Place, Eko Tower, Alpha One, and FF Millennium Tower.

As investigations continue in Greece, the extent of any direct links between Karameh and the seized yacht remains unconfirmed, raising questions about potential international implications and the need for further clarification from law enforcement authorities.
