ADC Postpones Presidential, Governorship Screening Exercise To Monday

The African Democratic Congress has postponed its presidential and governorship screening exercise earlier scheduled to hold this weekend.

The party announced that the exercise would now take place on Monday.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.

According to the party, the adjustment was made partly because of the security situation affecting some parts of Northern Nigeria.

The ADC also revealed that screening for aspirants contesting National Assembly positions would now be conducted in Abuja instead of the previously planned locations.

The party assured aspirants that all affected candidates would receive updated schedules and other relevant information regarding the new screening arrangements.

While apologising for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change, the party appreciated aspirants and stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation.

The development comes amid increasing political activities and internal preparations by major parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
