REPORTS emerging on Thursday said the Super Eagles will have their outstanding bonuses and allowances settled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) soon.

These unpaid amounts, which span over three years and include 26 matches, encompass the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Trojan News Reports.

Reports, however, claimed today that the Federal Government has included the outstanding payments in the budget approved for the upcoming AFCON.

“All the bonuses and allowances pending for the team will now be cleared after this budget approval,” a Daily Post report quoted a Sports Ministry official.

“This will be a big incentive for the team leading up to the AFCON.”

Trojan News reports that the Nigerian men’s national football team is currently preparing for the 2023 AFCON in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
