Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says he knows President Bola Tinubu inside out — including his strengths and weaknesses — and would have no trouble defeating him in the 2027 presidential race if he runs under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking during a conversation on X Spaces, the ex-Rivers State governor declared that, though he has never contested directly against Tinubu, he is confident of victory if given the ADC ticket.
“I know Tinubu very well. I know his strengths. I know his weaknesses,” Amaechi said. “And I know that if allowed to fly the flag of ADC, I will defeat Tinubu for sure.”
Amaechi also insisted that he has never been involved in election rigging, adding that he has repeatedly turned down invitations to serve on the All Progressives Congress (APC) election planning committees.
“I challenge any politician, living or dead, to say I was part of rigging,” he declared. “All the appointments given to me by APC to join election planning committees, I refused. I know what they discuss. I listen to them. If I get the ticket, I will reveal those things.”
