In a recent statement, Musa Ilyasu Kwankwoso, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, fired a warning shot at former Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai. According to Kwankwoso, El-Rufai’s tactics won’t work against President Bola Tinubu like they allegedly did against former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Kwankwoso believes Tinubu has made progress in tackling insecurity and stabilizing prices, giving credit to National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for the security improvements. He thinks El-Rufai is unhappy about these gains and accuses him of spreading baseless allegations. Kwankwoso dares El-Rufai to provide evidence to back up his claims or keep quiet.
He also thinks El-Rufai’s attempts to rally the north against Tinubu won’t work, saying northerners aren’t oblivious to the progress being made. Kwankwoso dismisses the opposition coalition, led by figures like Atiku Abubakar and El-Rufai, as ineffective, questioning what they have to offer Nigerians. He urges Nigerians to keep supporting Tinubu’s administration and ignore the opposition’s alleged blackmail.
