Federal Minister of Economics Katherina Reiche (CDU) and her Canadian colleague Mélanie Joly, Minister for Innovation, Science and Industry, have signed a declaration of intent for closer cooperation in the Automotive industry signed. The USA is also the most important sales market for German industry.

According to the information, Berlin and Ottawa want to exchange ideas on the “sectoral development” of the auto industry in the future, promote bilateral automobile trade and jointly advance “battery and hydrogen mobility”. “A ‘Joint Automotive and Mobility Cooperation Group’ will be set up for implementation.”
