Two police officers have been k!lled by armed bandits in an attack on Tsafe town in Zamfara State.
This was confirmed by counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama.
Makama said that the incident occurred late Sunday night, August 17, 2025 when the bandits stormed the outskirts of Tsafe along the Yankuzo road.
The source said the operatives, who were on duty in the area, came under heavy fire from the attackers and lost their lives in the process.
One of the officers, Abdulhamid Abubakar Gobir was promoted from corporal to sergeant two weeks ago.
A colleague who confirmed the incident said Gobir was on special duty from MOPOL 22 PMF Lagos State.
He was laid to rest at 42 PMF Mobile Base Gusau on Monday, August 18.
