HISTORY was recorded at the Cartharium Event Centre, Upper Adesuwa Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, on Saturday October 5th, 2024, when Mr. Gentle Emovon celebrated his late father in grand style, with a fantastic reception party.
The occasion which was attended by dignitaries from within and outside the shores of Nigeria saw members of Baptist High School (BHS) Class 1984 Set, turning out in large numbers to honour one of their classmates, Mr. Gentle Emovon.
The late Pa. David O Emovon JP who hailed from Obadan village, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria was a community leader per excellence. He died at the age of 91 years.
The final farewell ceremonies for the late Pa. David Emovon began on the 3rd of October, 2024, with a Service of Songs which was held at his residence number 5, Erameh Avenue off Upper Adesuwa Grammar School Road, Government Reservation Area (GRA) Benin City, while the Funeral Service was held the First African Church Mission (Ebenezer Cathedral) Sakponba Road Benin City.
The well attended reception party in honour of the late Pa. David Emovon saw guests treated to delicious African and Continental dishes while assorted wines and drinks were lavishly served. Melodious songs thrilled guests on end at the event as the visibly elated Mr. Gentle Emovon profusely thanked his old classmates (Baptist High School Class of 1984 Set) for turning out en masse to celebrate his late father.
The outing service for the late Pa. David Emovon has been slated to take place on Sunday October 6th, 2024, at First African Church Mission (Ebenezer Cathedral) Sakponba Road Benin City.
