Blord Lands in Kuje Prison as VeryDarkMan Drags Him to Court Over Alleged Identity Theft

Nigerian crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has been remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre after being arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations of criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and unauthorised use of another public figure’s identity.

The case was reportedly triggered by a petition filed by social media activist VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse. He accused Blord of using his name, face, and public image to promote businesses and products without his approval.

According to VeryDarkMan, Blord was arraigned on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and after the charges were read in court, he pleaded not guilty. The court then ordered that he be remanded for 26 days, pending the continuation of the case.

The matter has now been adjourned until April 27, 2026, when the court is expected to resume hearing.

VeryDarkMan, in a video posted on his Facebook page, made a number of serious allegations against the businessman. He claimed Blord falsely announced that he had been paid N500 million to serve as a brand ambassador and also used his image to market multiple ventures without any agreement in place.

According to him, Blord allegedly went as far as printing billboards and flyers carrying his face and linking him to products and businesses he never approved. He also claimed that a fake flight ticket bearing his name was circulated online to create the impression that he was travelling to Onitsha for a product launch.

In his words, he said Blord made it appear as though he was involved in the launch of the Blunt Gadget app and had also endorsed another app known as Viewpoints, despite there being no relationship or agreement between them.

VeryDarkMan insisted that all the claims were false and said he has always made it clear on his social media pages that he does not accept adverts or promotions. According to him, protecting the integrity of his brand has always been more important than money.

He also stated that he had previously rejected endorsement deals worth over N700 million, saying he wants to use his platform for something more meaningful rather than random promotions.

After the court proceedings, VeryDarkMan shared another video online showing the moment Blord was allegedly being transported to prison in a correctional vehicle. In the video, he said he wanted to personally witness the businessman’s transfer to Kuje Prison.

He used the moment to further explain why he believes the issue goes beyond normal online drama or defamation. According to him, while insults and online attacks are common, criminal actions such as forgery, impersonation, and false representation are a completely different matter.

VeryDarkMan said no one should wake up one day and see their face being used to advertise products or businesses without consent. He argued that if such actions are ignored, it could set a dangerous precedent for how public figures are exploited in Nigeria.

He also alleged that some people tried to influence the matter with money, though he did not provide any proof to back up that claim.

For now, Blord is expected to remain in custody at Kuje Correctional Centre until April 27, when the court will continue hearing the case.
