The Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan has congratulated the former Deputy National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori for his emergence as the National Chairman.
Recall that Dalori was handed over the mantle of leadership last Friday following resignation of the former Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who cited health challenges as major reason for him to quit.
Addressing Journalists in Maiduguri at the week end, the longest serving Speaker in the history of Nigeria commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the leader of the APC for directing the former Chairman to hand over the affairs of the party to Hon. Dalori for continuity and progress.
Lawan described Dalori’s appointment as ‘ a square peg in a round hole’, noting that the new acting Chairman will reconcile all aggrieved members of the party for progress and inclusivity.
“On behalf of the Honourable members, management and staff of the Borno State House of Assembly, I congratulated Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori for his emergence as the Acting National Chairman of our great party, APC.
“This milestone signifies a remarkable achievement in the career of a man whose journey from grassroots activism to national leadership exemplifies dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s democratic development.
“We want assure Dalori and the APC of our continued support and cooperation as we prepare for yet another unprecedented victory at the local, state and federal level in the next general elections come 2027.
“We call on lovers of democracy in Nigeria to support Dalori and his team towards peaceful, credible and progressive movement of the party, iline with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”. The Speaker said. End
