The Institute of Corporate Administrators of Nigeria (ICPAN) takes great pride in conferring upon Aienloshan Omo Obemeata the esteemed Fellow Doctorate award. This honour recognizes your outstanding contributions to the field of corporate administration, unwavering commitment to excellence, and distinguished service and contributions to the field of Public Accounting, Healthcare Financial Administration, Forensic Audit and Institutional Leadership.
Mr. Aienloshan is an accomplished and visionary public sector accountant, with over 17 years of dedicated service at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) and the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Benin, where he currently serves as Director of Finance and Accounts. He has played a pioneering role in modernizing financial systems in Nigeria’s public healthcare institutions being notably the first computer-literate accountant at UBTH, where he displayed competence, character and remarkable results and a key figure in the early implementation of the Federal Government’s IPPIS payroll reform in 2006.
His leadership as Divisional Head of Revenue & External Assistance and as Budget and Schools Division Head at UBTH has contributed immensely to fiscal transparency, organizational profitability, and timely financial reporting. Under his stewardship, the Drug Revolving Fund of the hospital recorded unprecedented growth and accountability, and he was instrumental in establishing the financial architecture of a newly inaugurated federal health institution.
With his growing interest in seeing that the healthcare sector has future-proofed professionals, He decided to also pick up part-time lecturing at the University of Benin teaching hospital school of nursing where he taught would-be nurses computer science and use of computer applications in managing healthcare and ensuring efficiency in healthcare delivery.
He is a forensic accounting expert, Mr. Aienloshan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic and DNA Studies, is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Fraud Examiners of Nigeria (CIFFEN), and a Certified Member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). Academically, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and a Master of Science in Accounting, where he emerged as the Best Graduating MSc Student at Wellspring University with a CGPA of 4.35. His excellent and leadership qualities started at a very young age while he was appointed Senior perfect during his secondary school days at Uzebba Grammar school, Uzebba.
In addition to his professional excellence, Mr. Aienloshan has also served with distinction in community leadership roles, including as Treasurer, Ex-officio, and Vice President of the UBTH Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society growing its asset base from ₦200 million to over ₦4 billion. His dynamic leadership continues through directorial roles in investments, oil & gas, and academic strategy within UBTH Staff Investment Ltd.
He is also a devoted clergyman, serving as Parish Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Shekinah Glory Parish, Benin exemplifying a life of integrity, humility, and purpose.
He is currently studying for his PHD programme and is committed to ensuring quality healthcare financial services and reforms.
For his exemplary character, enduring impact on healthcare finance, trailblazing reforms, and intellectual distinction, the Institute of Corporate Administrators of Nigeria is proud to celebrate and induct Mr. Aienloshan Omo Obemeata into the highest echelon of its honors with this Fellow Doctorate Award.
