Celebrations as Prince Clem Agba Graces Henry Idahagbon Father’s Burial

LAST weekend, it was pomps and celebrations in Benin City, the Edo State capital, as the immediate-past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade, joined other dignitaries to attend the social dance section of the burial of Pa William Idahagbon, the 92 years old sage and community leader, who was a father to Barrister Henry Idahagbon, Edo State representation at the Federal Character Commission and former Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of the state.

In the crowdy and colorful event, which took place at the premises of the Air Force Base, opposite the airport, the high and lowly of the society, had thronged in from far and beyond the state
Guests included former Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Pius Odubu and his wife Mrs Endurance Odubu, Hon Anselm Ojeizua, a former Commissioner and governorship aspirant, Dr Austin Emuan, former governorship aspirant, Mr. Simon Ogie, Barrister Jefferson Woghiren, Hon Taiwo Akerele, former Chief of Staff to the state governor, Hon Owamagbe Asue (DVD), a former senatorial candidate in the last election, Prince Musa Braimah, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and numerous others.

While chatting with the newsmen, Prince Agba, accompanied by his wife Princess Catherine Orobosa Agba, said he was at the event to hobnob with Barrister Obahiagbon, on the loss of his father, whom he praised for many feats, while on earth, adding that Barrister Obahiagbon was a close friend, who their paths got cross and had remained as brothers since they both served as commissioners in the state
