An Ibadan-based cleric, Pastor Biodun Oladele, has stirred conversations after declaring that a former Nigerian head of state will pass away in 2026. The revelation is part of his annual prophetic message for the coming year.
The prophecy was shared under his message titled “Prophecies for the Year 2026,” where he spoke on issues affecting Nigeria, including leadership, governance, the economy, and global affairs. According to him, the death of a former national leader would be one of the major political moments Nigerians may witness in the year.
Pastor Oladele did not mention any specific individual. Instead, he advised Nigerians to stay prayerful and thoughtful, saying such an event would carry weight in the country’s political history and should be approached with sobriety.
He described 2026 as a dramatic year, one that would produce events capable of shaping Nigeria’s future beyond that period. He added that his message was not intended to cause fear or panic.
The cleric emphasized that the prophecies are meant as spiritual guidance and a call to prayer, urging both leaders and citizens to respond with wisdom, unity, and alertness.
As expected, the declaration has sparked discussions among religious groups and the wider public, contributing to ongoing debates about leadership, legacy, and Nigeria’s direction as a nation.
