Congratulations to the New Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University

On behalf of myself and my entire family, we warmly congratulate Professor Eunice Eboserehimen Omonzejie on her historic and well-deserved appointment as the new Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

Professor Omonzejie is a distinguished scholar of French and Francophone African Literature whose outstanding career has left a lasting mark on African and Francophone literary studies, gender studies, and cultural studies.

Through her dedicated service in the Department of Modern Languages and her prolific contributions as a researcher and editor, she has elevated the profile of Ambrose Alli University on both national and international platforms. Her widely acclaimed works, including Women Novelists in Francophone Black Africa: Views, Reviews, and Interviews, remain a touchstone in her field.

Yet, beyond her stellar academic record, Professor Omonzejie is equally celebrated as a builder of communities and a steadfast advocate for justice and fairness. As former President of the AAU Chapter of the National Association of Women Academics (NAWACS), she has been a tireless mentor, a voice for inclusion, and a source of inspiration for women in academia and students alike. Her leadership reflects not only intellectual excellence but also a deep commitment to fairness, equity, and human development.

Appreciation to the Governor. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Monday Okpebholo, for his exemplary choice. This appointment reflects the Governor’s vision for the future of Ambrose Alli University and his commitment to fostering leadership that combines integrity, excellence, and community service.

With Professor Omonzejie’s proven scholarship, moral clarity, and people-centered leadership, we are confident that Ambrose Alli University is poised to enter a new era of growth, innovation, and global relevance
