The Shippers Council Chief Executive officer said it is not a hidden thing that we all know the multiplier effect of travelling from the far North to the Southern part of the Country in the name of transporting goods to the Northern part of the Country its capital intensive compared to the rail transport.

He said apart from the resources one would expend there is the security risk involved in the whole exercise like wise if we sre to put the figures together interms of Naira and kobo to be spend the amount saved is huge ” we can see how it is going to extrapolate the economy .”

However, he said more importantly ” we are bringing Shipping to your door steps in the Northern part of the Country and other neighbouring Countries through the Dala Inland Dry Port . Citing Biger Republic, Chad and others alike.

Mr Jime said the Dala dry port will be a port of handling Storage and Regulatory inspection while consolidating on the work of other agencies at the port to achieve maximum results.

The CEO said ” Dala inland dry port represents a flagship in the process you might notice in the course of the statement i offered when i made my remarks there where about Six legacy projects that where conceived in 2006 .

He said almost twenty years ago after that we can have a monumental development that has taken place in Kano state i will like to commend the Kano state government under the leadership of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the numerous intervention both financially and other wise that brought about the sucesses recorded so far in completing the Dry port .

Mr Jime stated further that interestingly what is found in the dry port is found also at the Sea port what that means therefore is that we have brought shipping very close to the hinter land . Additionally there is no way a Sea port will be viable unless there is connectivity to the Hinterland.
