THE Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. (Dr) Ali Dalori has consoled the Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum and the family of the late Maiduguri Municipal politician, and Borno State Commissioner for Finance,
Hon. Ahmed Ali Ahmed who died in Maiduguri yesterday.
The sad news of the death of Hon. Ahmed sent shock and wailings to the family of the deceased and his political associates across the state.
Dalori who jetted to Maiduguri after receiving the sad news, cut short his official engagements in Abuja to pay tribute and condolences to Governor Babagana Zulum and the family of the young politician, who is described as part of the new force of Borno grassroots politics.
According to a statement issued by Dalori’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Yemi Akinbode said the APC Deputy National Chairman is grief by the death of Hon. Ahmed, a young, dynamic and cerebral politician who is being projected to carry the torch of Borno grassroots politics in the near future.
The statement read: ” I am overwhelmed with grief about the death of our good, dependable and brilliant colleague and brother, Hon. Ahmed who passed away yesterday after a brief illness. This is one death that is unimaginable. It is too early in the annals of such a brilliant and dynamic young man.
“It downs on me that, this world is nothing, our struggles is an exercise in vanity if a life can end like this. As a leader, I am overwhelmed with grief and sorrow. Just like that, abruptly Hon. Ahmed light has been dimmed, his firmament of hope extinguished. This a very sad and painful exit.
“Allah the giver of life, has just shown to us that everything is with His time, not with ours. He knows when to give, and when to take. This is his time. At this auspicious time, he has taken away our friend and brother. We have nothing to say than to pray for the repose of his soul in Aljannatul Firdaus.
“We would remember him for his good deeds. We would continue to pray for his family and the loved ones he left behind.
I commiserate with his family, the government and people of Borno State on the unfortunate incident. May Allah grant his family and loved ones the fortress and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss” the statement concluded.
Hon. Ahmed Ali Ahmed, 42 was until his death while asleep at his Maiduguri resident along Damboa road on Monday, the Borno State Commissioner for Finance. He was a key character in the Babagana Zulum’s administración. His remain was buried yesterday according to islamic rites. He is survived by wife and children.
