Dcn Patrick Ahonkhai Giwa, a former House of Representatives clerk and member of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), congratulates Prof. Julius Ihonvbere on receiving the “Commander of the Order of the Niger” (CON) national award of distinction. The message reads: During today’s celebration of Democracy Day, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, bestows the prestigious title of “Commander of the Order of the Niger” (CON) on our own leader, Owan Illustrious Son, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere. In Nigeria, this is one of the greatest acknowledgement awards.
This honour is a tribute to Professor Ihonvbere’s exceptional contributions to the establishment of democracy and the development of the nation, as well as his intellectual engagement with democratic principles , exceptional quality legislation, and influential representation. Let me just add that Professor Julius Ihonvbere is a world-renowned figure, a bulwark of global education, and an inspiration to our future leaders. Because of his extensive educational background and expertise, PJI stands tall among his modern legislators after navigating the global arena. His extensive experience has given him the qualifications he needs to perform legislative duties in a unique way.
Once again, accept my hearty felicitations
