Delta Governor’s Aide Surprises Comfort Emmanson with ₦500k Job, All-Expense-Paid Vacation

For Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger whose name made headlines after her arrest and time in Kirikiri prison, life is suddenly taking a softer turn. Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has offered her a job in Delta State with a monthly salary of ₦500,000 — plus an all-expenses-paid getaway to the “Big Heart” state.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Ossai said the package includes flight tickets, a luxury five-star hotel stay, guided tours, and even a ticket to the Delta Social Media Summit in Asaba on August 28. According to him, the gesture is to help Comfort “unwind” after what she went through behind bars.

“I’m inviting her to Delta State to relax and have a good time,” he wrote. “Everything — from flights to accommodation — is fully covered. She won’t be disappointed.” He urged anyone in contact with Comfort to ask her to reach out via Instagram to claim the offer.

Comfort, who was accused of unruly behaviour on an Ibom Air flight and later remanded in Kirikiri, had earlier shared that she was still in pain from the experience. “I’ve been released from prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before telling my side of the story,” she wrote in an emotional Instagram post, thanking her supporters for their prayers and love.

Her case had drawn massive public attention after viral videos showed heated moments between her and airline staff. The charges were struck out by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court after the police applied to withdraw the case. The aviation minister also confirmed that Ibom Air’s lifetime flying ban on her had been lifted.

From the cold walls of Kirikiri to the promise of a ₦500k job and a luxury holiday — Comfort’s story has taken a dramatic turn. Whether this new chapter will bring her peace after the storm remains to be seen, but for now, she has something to look forward to.
