A notable stalwart of the Edo State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Thomas Attah, has sent a message of felicitation to incumbent governor of the state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, aka Akpakomiza, on his affirmation as governor of the state, through a judgement delivered by the Election Petition Tribunal, at Abuja, yesterday.
Dr. Attah, a topflight business executive, multivational speaker and notable caregiver, made this declaration through a statement, made available to journalists in Benin City, the state capital.
Regarding his victory as “well-deserved, and as the true choice of the people”, Attah, a PhD holder in Philosophy, from the premier University of Ibadan and a traditional title holder of the Ekpen of Ekpoma kingdom, Edo State, added that Okpebholo’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the people of the state, had manifested in his triumph at the tribunal.
While calling on the APC party faithful, the party oppositions and the people of the state, to rally around him l, in order to attract inward, the best of governance, Chief Attah, the National Patron of the Remi Tinubu Support Organisation (RETSO), further uttered that Senator Okpebholo’s leadership and passion for public service, will undoubtedly bring positive changes and progress to Edo.
The three-man tribunal, led by the Justice Wilfred Nkpochi, had in its judgement, dismissed the threesome petitions, respectively, filed against the earlier declaration of Okpebholo as governor, by two other contestants and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, who came second in the election, held last year.
