Seventeen suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 2. The suspects were picked up during a sting operation carried out on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
According to EFCC, the raid took place at Olusi Street, HopeVille Estate, Sangotedo, Ajah, Lagos State, after credible intelligence revealed their alleged involvement in online fraud activities.
During the operation, officers recovered five vehicles, several mobile phones, and laptop computers believed to have been used in carrying out their fraudulent schemes.
