The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo, has made it clear that no amount of money can draw him into partisan politics, insisting that such a path is completely outside his divine calling.
Speaking during the impartation service at the church’s annual convocation, Shiloh 2025, Bishop Oyedepo urged believers to remain focused on their spiritual assignment rather than being distracted by political ambitions. He reminded the congregation that the strength of the church lies in fulfilling its God-given mandate, not seeking power through political structures.
Recalling past events, the cleric said he had warned the church as far back as 2015 that difficult times were ahead, a warning he noted has since become evident. According to him, the unfolding challenges in the world today reaffirm the need for the church to stay aligned with its purpose.
Bishop Oyedepo stated emphatically that politics is not part of his assignment, stressing that even an offer of one billion dollars would not change his stance. He explained that stepping outside one’s calling, no matter how attractive it may seem, often leads to confusion and loss of impact.
He further described the world as being shrouded in darkness, referencing Romans 8:19, which speaks of creation waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. According to him, the solution to many national and global crises will not come primarily from politics, but from men and women walking fully in their divine purpose.
Drawing biblical parallels, he said a new army of God is rising to provide solutions in the manner of Joseph and Daniel—through wisdom, integrity, and divine insight. Bishop Oyedepo concluded by declaring that the season ahead would usher in extraordinary works, describing it as a time of manifestations beyond human expectation.
