Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after securing administrative bail.
Tambuwal was invited and subsequently detained by the anti-graft agency on Monday, August 11, over allegations of fraudulently withdrawing about ₦189 billion during his tenure as governor.
Sources within the EFCC confirmed that the former governor met his bail conditions and is expected to leave the commission’s headquarters on Tuesday night.
