Two children of former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar were officially married on Friday at the National Mosque in Abuja, in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and dignitaries.
His daughter, Hafsat Atiku, was married to Umar Farouk Imam by General Aliyu Gusau, a close family friend. His son, Abubakar Atiku Jr, tied the knot with Asma’u Abdul’aziz Nyako, officiated by Alhaji Kwairanga Jada, another family friend.
Atiku expressed immense pleasure and gratitude to all attendees, noting that the marriages would strengthen longstanding family ties, especially with his older brother, Admiral Murtala Nyako, and his friend, Kashim Ibrahim Imam. He congratulated the newlyweds and wished them a happy marriage.
