FAAC Shares N1.969 Trillion Among Federal, State and Local Governments for December 2025

The Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) has announced the distribution of N1.969 trillion from federation revenue accrued in December 2025. The disclosure was made in a communiqué issued after the committee’s monthly meeting.

According to the communiqué, the distributable revenue consisted of N1.084 trillion in statutory revenue, N846.507 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and N38.110 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). Total gross revenue for the month stood at N2.585 trillion, from which N104.697 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while N511.585 billion was set aside for transfers, refunds, and savings.

From the total distributable amount, the Federal Government received N653.500 billion, states received N706.469 billion, and local government councils received N513.272 billion. An additional N96.083 billion, representing 13 percent of mineral revenue, was shared among oil-producing states as derivation revenue.

The communiqué also noted that while gross statutory revenue declined compared to November figures, VAT revenue recorded a significant rise, jumping from N563.042 billion in November to N913.957 billion in December, indicating increased taxable economic activity.
