Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has responded to his reported expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dismissing the move with a sharply worded reaction shared on his X handle.
Tori News earlier reported that the PDP leadership, during its national convention held over the weekend in Oyo State, announced the expulsion of several prominent members, including Fayose and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
In his response, Fayose described the action as inconsequential, suggesting that those behind the decision lacked relevance within the party.
“The dead cannot expel the living. The living can’t be found among the dead. The dead don’t expel the living,” he wrote.
His reaction has triggered conversation across political circles, with many awaiting the PDP’s official position on the matter and possible next steps from the affected politicians.
