A violent incident occurred in Obarentin community, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, where Fulani terrorists brutally injured a resident, Mr. Ona Gabriel.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack happened in the evening of November 5th, 2025, and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with severe injuries, including a severed leg.
“I saw Mr. Ona sitting at the veranda of his house yesterday afternoon, but I didn’t know he was involved in the incident until I saw someone being rushed to the hospital with severe injuries,” said an eyewitness told _Standard Daily Press_ in Benin City.
The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, but tensions between farmers and herders have been escalating in the region. The community is calling for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
“We believe our lives are in our hands, and God is holding our souls,” said the eyewitness, urging everyone to exercise caution and stay safe.
Recently, Hausa Fulani marauders in the state have increased their attacks on Edo State indigenous people both in their houses and farmlands, killing and raping their women without the state government and security interventions.
