THE Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa), in partnership with UNICEF, the World Food Programme (WFP), OXFAM, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the International Rescue Committee (IRC), GHIV Africa has in the last decade provided nutritional assistance to about 40,000 children under-five in various communities of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states in the North eastern Nigeria.
It has also indirectly impacted 120,000 individuals, delivered sexual and reproductive health (SRH) support to 25,000 women and girls, in addition to.enhancing access to education and essential services for 450 children with disabilities.
These milestone achievements were disclosed by the Founder of GHIV Africa, Mr. Jude Shagba, while delivering his address the 10- year anniversary of the Organization at RB Suites in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
He noted that, apart from these interventions, GHIV Africa under the Executive Director, Mulikat Bamidele has in the journey so far, reached out and provided educational opportunities for 25,000 out-of-school children and indirectly benefited 60,000 community members.
Besides, he added that with support from WASH, it has provided services to 45,000 conflict-affected people, reaching over 100,000 indirectly, as well as supported 12,000 women and girls through gender-based violence (GBV) interventions.
He further disclosed that it has assisted over 5,000 individuals with cash aid and 15,000 children with mental health and psychosocial support across communities and areas of responsibility.
Shagba noted that these could not have been possible without the support of the Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States Government, traditional rulers and religious leaders, which he said, is highly commendable.
His words: “We are here today to thank God Almighty and to celebrate our 10th Anniversary for providing humanitarian assistance, especially on Education, Health and Livelihood programs to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable groups in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states in Northeastern Nigeria.
“During the years under review, Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa), in partnership with UNICEF, the World Food Programme (WFP), OXFAM, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the International Rescue Committee (IRC), GHIV Africa has in the last decade provided nutritional assistance to about 40,000 children under-five in various communities of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states in the North eastern Nigeria.

“These milestone achievements could not have seen the light of the day without the support we received from governors if the affected states, traditional rulers and religious leaders, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). We are very grateful.
“Apart from these interventions, GHIV Africa under the Executive Director, Mulikat Bamidele has in the journey so far, reached out and provided educational opportunities for 25,000 out-of-school children and indirectly benefited 60,000 community members.

In his address, the Executive Director of the Organization, Mulikat Bamidele said, GHIV Africa is a leading humanitarian organization committed to improving lives through innovative.
Bamidele noted that GHIV Africa Celebrates a Decade of Transformative Humanitarian Impact and announces Bold Vision for the Future Maiduguri, Northeast Nigeria 1st December, 2024.
“GHIV Africa proudly marks its 10th anniversary, commemorating a decade of impactful service dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations across Nigeria and beyond. What began as a grassroots health outreach in Ogundele, Ilorin West, Kwara State, has blossomed into a comprehensive humanitarian organization addressing healthcare, education, nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), protection, livelihoods, and food security”. Bamidele explained.
The occasion was attended by Executive Chairmen of some local government areas, traditional rulers, Civil Society Organizations, CSOs, school children with disabilities among other stakeholders.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries , the Executive Chairman of Gubio local government area of Borno State, Hon. Bulama Mali Bulama commended GHIV Africa for bringing succour on the lives of the vulnerable persons in the society, and plegded to continue give their maximum support and cooperation for the Organisation to achieve it’s mandates with ease End
