According to reports, Chisom began his trip on a Monday and arrived in Abia six days later, heading straight to the governor’s home in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA. The cyclist, who hails from Nunya, Isuikwuato LGA, said his daring ride was a personal act of gratitude to the governor for reconstructing the 11.5-kilometre Nunya–Eluama road and for other developmental projects across the state.
Despite acknowledging the risks of insecurity and poor road conditions, Chisom said his determination to meet Governor Otti and express his appreciation outweighed his fears. His story quickly spread, capturing the attention of state officials and residents alike.
