NIGERIAN actor, director, and Lagos Assembly member Desmond Elliot has addressed recent allegations questioning his sexuality.
In a recent interview on TVC, Elliot dismissed the rumors, describing them as baseless and unworthy of a response. “Why would I respond to an allegation that neither increases nor decreases my life?” he asked.
A controversial blogger had previously listed Elliot among several public figures allegedly involved in homosexuality.
Addressing the matter further, the 50-year-old actor remarked, “It’s an opinion someone has conceived. For me to come out and say it’s true or not isn’t necessary as long as I’m impacting people positively.”
In his clear refutation of the allegation, Elliot stated, “I am not gay.”
He also voiced concern about the unchecked influence of bloggers and called on the government to consider regulating such platforms.
