Idehen Celebrates With Akpata On His Victory

My dear Olumide,

I am ecstatic with joy on your landslide victory at the Edo Labour Party governorship primaries. You reinforced the timeless phrase; ‘hard work pays!’.

In the lead up to the primaries, you visited all 18 party secretariats three separate times. Each time, you met with party faithfuls as well as community members. You listened to their concerns while counseling them and helping out where you could.

You also invested your resources in strengthening our party in each LGA and at state level, by supporting them with 20 vehicles, 26,000 chairs, public address equipment, food stuff during the Christmas season, empowerment programs and many more.

Olu, I have followed your progress over the years, as you helped your cousin Oghogho establish your law firm Templars, from its humble beginnings, to a world class institution with over 100 lawyers in its employ. Thereby setting new standards in law practice in Nigeria.

You did not stop there, you went on to aspire for the highest office in your association of lawyers; President of the Nigerian Bar Association, which you won by a landslide margin. During your tenure, you instituted innovative programs and new ideas designed not just to make life better for your fellow lawyers but to grow the association as well. You left an indelible mark in the NBA where you earned accolades from lawyers and the public alike, which became the benchmark for subsequent presidents.

Your discreet generous philanthropic activities are well chronicled and cannot be overlooked. Now, in your quest for the governorship seat of our dear Edo State, you once again have set out to beat all odds as the candidate of Labour Party.

My brother, since I believe you are the best candidate for this job, rest assured we will join you on this remarkable journey in ensuring that we convince the good people of Edo State of your commitment to hard work and excellence, as well as your dedication and zeal to creating a better life for Edolites, which I believe will surely help you attain this post.

I am proud of you and all your achievements, and know that you will also make an excellent governor that Edo people will be proud of.

Olu D, once again, congratulations, and here’s wishing you Godspeed on this journey.

You are my guy!

Sincerely,

George Omoregie Idehen
