Almost all of Iran’s oil exports go through the small island of Kharg. It would be easy for the USA and Israel to attack them. But strategists know: Kharg is a trap.

One of the most important places in the world economy is a slab of coral rock in the Persian Gulf: 20 square kilometers in size, located 25 kilometers off the Iranian coast.
Anyone who thinks this is exaggerated can look up the Palmyrenes: The ancient trading people had already recognized the strategic importance of the island of Kharg in the first and second centuries AD. It established a base for its trading empire there. Because whoever ruled Kharg controlled the trade route between India and Mesopotamia. Or you can look into the history of the Dutch East India Company. They built Fort Mosselsteyn here in 1753 to bring the trade in pearls and Persian silk under their control.
