Jarrett Tenebe’s gobbledygook, By Osaretin Edokpayi

I sat with a few Nigerian friends in my cottage in my Atlanta home a few days ago over some wines, savouring the beautiful holiday and a year that was fast winding down. We talked about happenings in Nigeria and particularly the misgovernance and inactivity on several fronts in what is Governor Godwin Obaseki’s underwhelming administration. Soon, discussion was attenuated on the governorship election looming in Edo state in 2024. As we progressed in the discussion, our attention was drawn by one of us to a video made and being circulated by a capricious and mischievous Jarret Tenebe.

In the video, he claimed he returned the Christmas gifts sent to him by Prince Clem Agba, whom he said made veiled references, during his consultative engagements, to assistance he rendered him in the past.

I was quite close to Jarret before I left Nigeria and had hung out with him a few times he came to the USA except the last one he came for his wife’s medicals. Jarret has lived a questionable life that verges on character deficit, fraud and blackmail. A deserter of the Nigerian Army, an international mischief maker for which he had several brushes with security agencies in Nigeria, particularly the Nigeria Police, which placed him on watchlist.

His engagements with the police over”419” cases are legendary and well documented in several Nigeria courts. He was involved in an oily deal for which he was charged by the EFCC with economic sabotage and some of the cases are still pending in courts.

Jarrett’s blackmailing sprees have touched Chief Lucky Igbinedion (former Governor of Edo State, Chief Mike Ogiadomhe (former deputy governor of Edo State), the late Chief Tony Anenih and even Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole (a man he claims to be close to now). Thus, the recent efforts of his trade, that is, blackmail of Prince Clem Agba, was not unexpected.

Jarrett’s sadism is well known. He cannot have good relationship with men of conscience and goodwill. Confirmation could be sought from Chief Lucky James and Mallam Gani Audu (whom he claims to have helped in politics) what they went through in his hands.

It is clear nobody minded him in his infantile broadcas, which was almost similar to what he experienced in his blackmail attempt of Philip Shaibu. He made several broadcasts of Philip stealing his wristwatch, but nobody looked his way as they knew it was aimed at getting Philip to a negotiation table. The same Philip I prevailed on few months before then to make huge contributions both financially and in other areas for his mother’s funeral when he (Jarrett ) cried to me that he had no money to undertake the funeral. He was now ready to take Shaibu to the slaughter slab.

Jarret is an empty, bloated balloon with no intellectual depth, and lacking in tacts but relies on brawls, which fail him most times when anybody stands up to him.

He is never satisfied with any assistance rendered him. He only sings your praises while the assistance being rendered lasts, and his volatile appetite is being satisfied. Much of the money he collects from everywhere he spends on bleaching creams. Otherwise, Jarrett cannot garrulously speak against Prince Clem Agba; an urbane, savvy, and gentleman who has severally been available for him in the past. Did Clem not help him in his attempt to be the APC State Deputy Chairman, the same platform he uses today to vilify him? Prince Clem Agba played a significant role when Jarrett vied for NFF chairmanship, a position he knew he was far ill-equipped for, immature, and not educated enough to occupy.

Jarret should be told by those who are close to him that everybody now knows him, and he bears no relevance in any meaningful undertaking and cannot be trusted for anything.

He has recently been complaining of comrade Adams Oshiomole of not being ready to lift him up after making him (Comrade Adams Oshiomole) to win the senate seat. Comrade Oshiomhole should be advised to watch his back about this evil-minded man. He attempted his blackmail on Clem Agba just yesterday. Comrade Oshiomole may be his next prey.
