Kwankwaso Commissions Multi Million Naira Rahab Centre In Kano

FORMER Kano state governor Sebator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has commissioned a multi million Naira Sanatorium at Jidau in Dawakin Kudu local government area of the state with a view to give  medical support to psychiatric patients and other drug abuse victims.
Speaking during the Commissioning Ceremony and Celebration of his 65th birth Day  Dr Kwankwaso said the resolve of his foundation to established the Rehabilitation guidance Centre for Clients and families and  in Patient Rehbilitation services is to reduce the challenge being face by parents whose Children loses their senses as a result of drug addiction .
He said the Amana Sanatorium will operate two types of services thus the out patient and impatient rehabilitation with various levels of intensity based on period of Therapy.
Kwankwaso who dwell into memory lane said similar projects were also executed during his 63th and 64th birth day Anniversary in his words
” Two years ago in a day like this in commemoration of my 63 birth day I was abled to boost women lives especially as it affects Maternal Health and basic health care delivery which led to the establishment of a School Nursing named after my Mother Nafisat College of Nursing,  Science and Midwife free in my home town Kwankwanso.”
Further more,  he said,  in his desire to improved the health care delivery system in my state ” it gave rise to the construction of 60 beddings Medical Care edifice named Amana Hospital in Kano.
We are presently planning to engage development partners on how best the Hospital will sustain it’s operations in order to reduce the health burden on poor family house Holds in the state.
Dr Kwankwaso said the Kwankwasiyya foundation had equally send smiles on the faces of some parents when it sponsored 370 students with first Class degrees for their post graduate studies abroad .
” I am happy to report that that same students have already completed their Masters degree with flying colors some were employed and others are still in the labor Market
And the foundation had welcome them back home with a three day job fare that accorded corporate Organisations and captains of industries the opportunity to engage them through the trained Kwankwasiyya Scholarship that include even those we trained while in government”
Kwankwaso said this exercise have put them to different career options and 150 are gainfully employed while the foundation is still following up on other available opportunities for the remaining number to have their way.
He said the Kwankwasiyya foundation equally built a Primary School with Children of the Normadic Fulanis in remote village in Rano local government area of the state.
The present School is today also used as an Islamic and Adult education Center apart from a Mosque and provision of hygenic water supply for the villagers .
