Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, the national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to standardize civil servants’ salaries across the country.
He questioned why parents are forced to pay as much as N3,000,000 to secure jobs for their children in certain agencies after investing heavily in their education.
Speaking in Abuja during the SDP’s celebration of International Youth Day 2024, he stated, “Government officials demand payments of one to three million naira for employment.”
He emphasized the desperation of parents who sell assets to fund their children’s education only to face additional costs for job placement.e salary,” he further stated.
