MOSES Effiong Umohrison, popularly known as Moses Effiong is dead. Effiong who was Born on 16th of August 1956 in Port Harcourt, in Rivers state, die in the United States of America after a protracted illness, January 26th, 2025.
Moses Effiong grew up Port Harcourt where he attended primary and secondary school. Moses Effiong started playing football professionally at the age of 18, and he was a lover of football.
The late Moses Effiong played with the green Eagle team in the 1980 African Nation’s Cup. He was Married to Florence Enajero Effiong (late) and the marriage was blessed with four children, as well as five grandchildren.
The late Moses Effiong was a devoted Christian and a Jehovah witness until his death. The Coaches as he was fondly called, was a lover children, including those that were not his own.
Moses Effiong was known to have supported any child who needed support to go to school or learned a reasonable trade. He was a kindhearted man, loved by all. The late Moses Effiong respected everyone in his neighborhood and a protector of his environment.
Moses Effiong was still an assistant coach in Akwa united before he went to the USA for proper medical treatment as he was not getting any improvement in Nigeria before he bowed to death in the US, a year after.
