Hyderabad — Indian authorities have deported Nigerian national Onyeukwu Victor following allegations of visa overstay and involvement in drug-related activities.
According to The Times of India, Victor, who arrived in India on a student visa in 2021, remained in the country after his visa expired in 2024. The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing reported that during this period, he allegedly contacted drug suppliers and delivered substances to customers in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
“While moving around Banjara Hills, he was apprehended. No drugs were recovered at the time, and he could not provide valid documents or a satisfactory explanation for his extended stay,” the authorities said.
Following thorough inquiry, it was confirmed that Victor did not hold a valid visa and had been overstaying in India. The Hyderabad police subsequently deported him on Wednesday.
