The US group Lyten has completed the takeover of the Swedish battery manufacturer Northvolt. The US company announced this. According to Lyten, the Swedish Northvolt locations are worth a total of almost five billion dollars (around 4.2 billion euros).

Northvolt filed for bankruptcy in Sweden in March 2025. In August, Lyten announced that it wanted to take over all of the battery manufacturer’s remaining locations, including the factory under construction near Heide in Schleswig-Holstein. The US company recently announced that it would complete the takeover of the German Northvolt subsidiary by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
