This Friday a new newspaper is due to appear in Germany, really on paper, and that is definitely news in times of closing printing companies, rising delivery costs and a general farewell to journalism.
It will be available in train station bookstores and supermarkets, from Rostock to Zwickau, and at some point once a week in the mailboxes of subscribers. East German General Newspaper (OAZ) will be in Fraktur type on the first page. Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer has already given her an interview.
