Professor Isa Ali Pantami, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, has refuted circulating claims that he is set to marry former First Lady Aisha Buhari, describing the reports as false, baseless, and impossible.
The rumours gained attention online after a purported wedding invitation card surfaced on social media, suggesting a union between Pantami and the widow of late President Muhammadu Buhari. The card, however, contained no verifiable details or a confirmed wedding date.
In an interview with PRNigeria, Pantami expressed shock over the story, emphasizing the late President Buhari’s role as a father figure and describing his wife as “a mother to us.” He said, “It is disturbing that such a story could be fabricated. Such a claim is not only false but impossible.”
Pantami urged Nigerians to disregard the report and cautioned against the circulation of misinformation on social media, highlighting the potential harm caused by unfounded rumours.
